One of my new listings

Monday I listed a nice house on Fonville St. here in Martin. It’s a nice brick 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house that is perfect for a young couple or small family. It’s over 2200 sq. ft. so it’s a nice size for just 2 bedrooms. This home is perfect for a first time homeowner or someone who hasn’t owned a home in the last three years. Why? Because of the O’bama $8000 tax credit for first time homeowners. This $8000 could get this home dolled up very nice. It’s been very well maintained has a nice yard and is in a great section of town. It’s worth a look. Give me a call, Randy Wade 731-225-7993.

Selling your home in today's market.

There are a lot of people nowadays that say it is a buyers market when it comes to real estate. You can still get a good price in today’s market. Here are a few things to remember.
Remember to do some research before you list your home with a realtor. Check to see what homes that are similar to yours sold for in your area and how long they stayed on the market. You can find out these things from your realtor.
Make sure to take care of little things before you put your home up for sale. Mow your lawn and take care of the landscape because the front of the house is the first impression that a buyer may have of your home. If there is a crack in the wall or leaky faucet get it fixed before putting your home up for sale. The little things will make your home look more attractive to a home buyer.
Last but not least work with a professional real estate agent to sell your home. They may think of ways to help you make your home more attractive. They know how to market your home not to mention the fact that they can put your home in a multi-listing service. They are able to find qualified buyers for your home and help them with information about financing not to mention a host of other things that are necessary for you to sell your home.
