I was so busy during the holidays I forgot to update.

We ClOSED just before Christmas and the buyers are happily living in their dream home.

It pays to use a professional and just hang in there.

Missed it again!

You guessed it. We did not get this deal done again. Had to ask the seller for yet another extension. Luckily they understood that the problem is the new lender not the buyer so they agreed. Buyer wants to spend Christmas in their new home. Stay tuned to see if it happens.

Stress of getting to closing

You have finally found the perfect house. You make an offer and it is accepted! You've just gone under contract on your dream house, closing in 30 days.

But wait just a minute. Now you have to get through the minefield of getting your loan approved and through the dreaded underwriting. These days the stress really begins after you find the house. Lenders are super diligent, asking for more information every day. Now you missed your closing date, got it extended, missed it again and the lender is STILL NOT READY TO CLOSE. What to do?

Make sure you are working with a great real estate agent and a reputable mortgage company or bank. Realtors work with local lenders and can get theses situations worked out more often than not. Frustrating? Absolutely! But with their help you will get through that minefield and own your dream home.

Martin's renovations

As a person who has lived in Martin for almost 40 years, I have to say that the city of Martin has never looked better. All of the new renovations in downtown Martin - the streets and lights and the new city hall, look fantastic. University Street has never looked better.
The Soybean Festival was a wonderful success and I think it has put our town on the top of the list of all the surrounding communities. I think congratulations are in order for Mayor Brundige, our aldermen, and all city officials and employees who have worked on downtown Martin. Job Well Done!

are doing well, and new ones are opening-
the keg restaurant in fulton is opening this weekend-
so we have lots of great places to eat in this area in-
cluding brandy's and the opera house in martin along with
all of the others!!
utm is playing murray in football - go hawks!
westview high school is playing- go chargers!
utm soccer and volleyball are both going strong!
utm softball has a big tournament this week at the martin
sports complex!

Martin Local Farmer's Market Opens This Month.

Another one of the great things about living in Martin is the Local Farmer's Market. It is a very family friendly little fresh vegetable and fruits market in downtown Martin. The market opens from June through October each year. Sometimes you can even find homemade fried orchard pies. It's a great way to support the local farmers, as well as, connect with the local community. Another one of the great little things about living in Martin.
